Robert L Bollinger, 64, of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Fairfield.

A memorial celebration is being held at 8 p.m. Monday in Dalby Hall, Agiro Student Center, Maharishi University of Management campus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Maharishi University of Management Annual Fund.

Mr. Bollinger was born May 27, 1950, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, the son of Harold and Amy Bollinger. He married Ruthann Meckley in 1972.

He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in individual and family studies.

He and his wife attended the Transcendental Meditation Teacher Training Course in LaAntilla, Spain and taught the TM Program in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in the mid 1970s.

From 1978 to 1994 he worked for the National Transcendental Meditation Organization, primarily as physical plant director and in other administrative positions in New York and Washington, D.C.

For the past 20 years, he had been working for Maharishi University of Management, as co-director of human resources and later as director of the telecommunications department.

Survivors include his wife Ruthann; and two brothers, Donald Bollinger and Dr. James Bollinger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
