Lord’s Cupboard seeks donations

The Lord’s Cupboard, Jefferson County’s emergency food pantry, has announced its needs for June.

The food bank is seeking donations of 12- to 14-ounce breakfast cereals, chicken noodle soup, 1-pound bags of dried great northern beans, canned chicken, canned mixed fruit and canned beef stew.

Donors are reminded to make sure the donations have not expired.

During April, The Lord’s Cupboard helped 129 families with full food/supply orders. Those families included 219 adults and 129 children. The food pantry also distributed 353 weekly bead and protein orders.

The Lord’s Cupboard is a private 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, relying on the generosity of the community to continue helping those less fortunate. Donations can be dropped off at the cupboard Monday through Friday afternoons.
