Thursday

5:26 p.m. — A three-vehicle accident was reported in the 2200 block of Highway 1. Belinda Eileen Wise, 33, of Fairfield, was driving a white 2003 Chrysler van south on Highway 1. As she attempted to enter the driveway of 2257 Highway 1, she turned into the path of a beige 2011 Kia Rio being driven north by Logan Trevor Hoffman, 24, of Fairfield. Wise was cited for failure to yield upon left turn. No injuries were reported; Helterbran and Hoffman were both wearing seat belts and their air bags deployed. Damages were estimated at $8,000 to Helterbran’s car and $6,000 to Hoffman’s vehicle. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Wise’s van, a non-contact vehicle, was not damaged.
