The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported that, between July 7-12, $100 was taken from the concession stand at Batavia ballpark. Deputies reported the steel entry door and lockset/deadbolt, worth $300, were destroyed.

A caller reported a $300 Husky riding mower was stolen in Agency.

July 16, Tara Teleri El Dredge of Fairfield was arrested at the corner of Second Street and Briggs Avenue and charged with driving while barred.



A driver traveling north on Woodbine Avenue near 266th Street struck a deer in the roadway. No serious injuries occurred. Towing was unnecessary.

A driver traveling eastbound on Libertyville Road struck a deer in the roadway. Though no serious injuries occurred, there was about $2,500 in estimated damages to the vehicle.



While traveling eastbound on Business 34, Jefferson Burns, who was driving a 2006 Chrysler Sebring, crossed the centerline and struck Drew Vantrump’s vehicle that was driving westbound. Burns was cited for failure to yield half a roadway. No injuries occurred.
