Leafgreen promoted at credit union

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Steven Leafgreen, a 1998 graduate of Fairfield High School, was appointed as president/CEO of Western Vista Credit Union.

Leafgreen began his career at Western Vista in June 2010 as vice president of financial services. He was promoted to executive vice president Sept. 1, 2016, in preparation for his transition to the CEO/president position.

Leafgreen has nearly 20 years of banking and management experience, ranging from credit and risk management, to underwriting, special assets, mortgage and middle marketing lending. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Iowa and recently graduated from Southwest Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He volunteers on the board of directors for Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, Laramie County Library Foundation and Wyoming Industrial Development Corporation and Frontier Certified Development Company.

Leafgreen and his wife, Erica, reside in Cheyenne with their son, Michael.

Chamber of commerce planning speed networking event March 21

Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will host a speed networking event March 21 at Best Western Fairfield Inn.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for networking, drinks and appetizers. The chamber staff will give introductions and instructions at 7:15 p.m., and the speed networking runs from 7:15-8:15 p.m.

Participants sit across from each other for a four-minute information-sharing conversation. When the bell rings, the group is rotated around the table so each person has an opportunity to meet as many people as an hour will allow.

The speed networking event is free for chamber members and $10 for potential members.

Reservations are required. Those who register by March 20 will receive one free-drink ticket courtesy of Shawn McCarty of State Farm Insurance.

Morressey Law Offices hosting its annual St. Paddy’s Day Business After Hours

Morrissey Law Offices will host the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours from 4-7 p.m. Friday.

Socialize with the staff of Morrissey Law Offices; Irish coffee, Irish stew, cold beverages and an Irish table await.

​The Chamber Business After Hours is a free, monthly networking event open to chamber members, their guests and the general public.
