No B.A.T.T.L.E. Youth Group will be held Wednesday due to the Fall Harvest Supper at Stockport United Methodist Church.

The youth group will do a “reverse trick-or-treating” Oct. 30 as a community project within walking distance from the church.

Stockport Public Library will be open from 4-7 p.m. Oct. 31 so trick-or-treaters can try to “trick” librarian Beverly Runyon out of her candy.

New children’s books at the library are: “Magic Tree House — Dogs in the Dead of Night” and “Fact Tracker Dog Heroes” by Mary Pope Osbourne; “Gotta Go! Gotta Go!” by Sam Swope, “Nightsong” by Ari Berk and Loren Long, and “Click, Clack, Boo!” by Doreen Cronin and Betsy Lewin. The books were donated by Jake, Jenna, Sherry and Sean Reid of Stockport.
