Monica Sullivan named principal of TD&T

TD&T CPAs and Advisors P.C., a regional accounting, tax and business consulting firm based in Iowa, announces that Monica L. Sullivan, CPA, has been named a principal of the firm.

Sullivan joined TD&T as a senior tax manager in 2016 and is the construction and manufacturing industry leader for the firm. She is a 1994 graduate of Iowa State University and holds over 20 years of extensive tax experience serving clients and businesses. Before joining the firm, she spent three years serving as tax adviser to a privately held multinational manufacturing company and over 19 years with a Big 4 Firm serving middle market, privately owned businesses and their owners.

Sullivan is actively involved in the Iowa Society of CPAs, currently serving on the Taxation Committee and a past member of the Financial Literacy Committee.

Foster becomes member of bank board

CLINTON — Gary Foster, formerly of Fairfield, is now a member of Citizens First Bank Board of Directors.

Foster, CPA and partner at Winkle, Parker & Foster, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the board. He is a Fairfield High School graduate. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in taxation from the University of Iowa. After 30 years of owning his own public accounting firm, he merged eight years ago into the Winkel, Parker & Foster, CPA, PC, to specialize in small business and individual taxation.

Foster has served his community as a member and officer on many boards and organizations.

He is a widower, with a son, Brent, and a daughter, Amber.

Melissa Loner appointed to NSCP board

Cambridge announces Melissa Loner has been appointed to the National Society of Compliance Professionals board of directors after being actively involved in the NSCP for nearly 10 years.

In this role, Loner will assist in steering the organization toward a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as ensuring the mission of NSCP is advanced.

As Cambridge’s vice president of Fiduciary Services and chief compliance officer of Cambridge Investment Research Advisors Inc., Loner oversees fiduciary review, advisory reporting and compliance functions, and fee-based programs. In early 2016, Cambridge saw the shifting regulatory landscape as an opportunity to grow and established Cambridge’s Fiduciary Services department which focuses on providing service support for Cambridge’s fee-based programs, retirement plan platforms, and compliance solutions. The department is also devoted to developing and executing innovative strategies that support independent financial advisers with Cambridge, particularly those focused on retirement and wealth strategies.

Loner joined Cambridge in 2004 and has nearly 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. She earned an MBA from American Military University. Additionally, she holds FINRA Series 4, 6, 7, 24, 53, 63, 65, and 79 licenses along with life, health, and variable annuity insurance licenses.
