BLOOD DRIVES

Three blood drives planned

First United Methodist Church

First United Methodist Church will host a Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center community blood drive from 2-6:30 p.m. Monday in the church dining room.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Nov. 20 are eligible to give at this drive.

Fairfield Arts & Convention Center

Fairfield Arts & Convention Center will host a community blood drive from 3-6 p.m. Jan. 17.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Nov. 22 are eligible to give at this drive.

All presenting donors will receive a Blend Card for 10 percent off a 2017 Artist Series ticket and be entered to win tickets for the 2017 Artist Series shows.

Fairfield financial institutions

Fairfield financial institutions will host a community blood drive from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Jan. 19 in the First National Bank lower-level community room.

Donors who last gave blood on or before Nov. 24 are eligible to give at this drive.

For appointments to donate, contact the blood center at 800-452-1097 or visit www.bloodcenterimpact.org and use code 5159 to locate the drive.

Donor information

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, although a 16-year-old with a completed parental permission form can donate. The forms are available through www.bloodcenter.org. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure can be accepted as eligible donors. Donors must weigh more than 110 pounds and have a photo I.D. Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the provider of blood and blood components to more than 90 hospitals in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri and Wisconsin. It is the exclusive provider to Jefferson County Health Center.
