Trojans compete against Keokuk

KEOKUK - The Fairfield swim team had a duel meet Monday at SEC rival Keokuk.

Danielle Elliott won the 50 yard freestyle in 30.45 with Tea Harris finishing third in 37.94. Elliot came in second in the 100 free with a time of 1:05.59, followed by Tessa Seibert in 1:18.91.

Harris took third in the 100 butterfly in 1:55.40, while Emily McAvan and Kyra Hunter finished second and fourth, respectively, with times of 1:38.19 and 1:52.45.

The 200 freestyle featured Erica Olson, second in 2:40.73, and Tessa Seibert who finished fourth in 2:50.35.

The 200 individual medley was won by Blair Bowman in a time of 3:03.50 and the 500 yard freestyle title was captured by Olson who clocked a time of 7:03.23 for the win.

The first event of the night was the 200 medley relay with Fairfield finishing second in 2:49.78, just 0.23 seconds behind the Chiefs winning time. The girl’s involved in that race were Emily McAvan, Blair Bowman, Tea Harris and anchor Kyra Hunter.

The 200 yard freestyle relay team included Bowman, Seibert, Elliott, and Olson who finished second in 2:09.45, while the final race of the night was the 400 yard freestyle featuring Harris, Seibert, Olson, and Elliott racing to a total time of 5:10.01.
