Danae Drish led the way in digs as she stopped 15 balls from touching the floor. Bryanna Popejoy contributed 11. Jillian Dunlap, Kensett and Ashtyn Drish each had eight.

The Chiefs had a tough time scoring against Fairfield’s front line. Godwin blocked five shots right back to the opponent. Ashtyn Drish and Cami Schaefer each had two blocks.

Trojan head coach Diana Drish said her team ran its plays smoothly, just like the girls have been practicing for weeks.

“It was a great night of connecting our pass, set and attack,” she said.

Trojan fans will get to see the girls in action tonight when they host Mt. Pleasant.

The junior varsity game starts at 5:45 p.m., and the varsity follows at 7 p.m.
