Violet Leenetta King, of Oklahoma, died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013.

A service is at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa, Okla.

Mrs. King was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Van Buren County, the daughter of Marvin and Emily Laughlin.

She graduated from Lockridge High School in 1940 and attended the Ottumwa Beauty Academy.

Following graduation from the beauty academy she opened a beauty shop in Fairfield where she lived until moving to Oklahoma in the 1940s.

She opened a beauty shop in Oklahoma, which she operated for a number of years.

Survivors include one son, Mark and his spouse Violet of Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Al King; her parents; one brother Virgile Laughlin and one sister, Viola Hedger.
