Virginia 'Ginger' Rose Pugh

Virginia “Ginger” Rose Pugh, 79, of Fairfield died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield.

A memorial service is at 6 p.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with words of comfort by family members. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.

A time of remembrance and a potluck for family and friends will follow the service at Fairfield Elks Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Rose Pugh, 1104 W. Jefferson Ave., Fairfield 52556.

Mrs. Pugh was born Dec. 14, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Rose Fisle Kamer in Fulton County, Ohio. She married Robert W. Pugh Aug. 7, 1963. He preceded her in death.

She lived in Fairfield the past 12 years.

She was a homemaker, an artist, writer and a special grandmother.

Survivors include five children, Mark Boman and spouse Karen, Matt Boman, Ryan Boman, Erin Pugh-Ledger and spouse Chuck, and Rose M. Pugh; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Caroline Werner, Louise Sheperd, Joe Kamer and Amil Kamer.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Cindy Boman Pellow; one sister, Helen Boggs; and three brothers, Ray, Carl and Bob Kamer.
