‘When the lights go out ...’ program Sunday at library

Oct 21, 2013

Fairfield Public Library is planning “When the Lights Go Out ...” from 6-8 p.m. Sunday.

“Have you ever wondered what happens in the library at night when the librarians go home and the lights go out?” asked children’s librarian Afton Hallauer. “Come and find out ... be amazed and enchanted as you travel through the library and meet characters from some of your favorite books, portrayed by members of the Way Off Broadway theater company.”

Guided tours through the library will leave every five minutes from the library meeting room.

“You can enjoy games, crafts and snacks while you wait,” said Hallauer. “When your ticket number is called, it will be time to make your way through the library.”

Participants can drop by the reference desk to update their library account and pick up their free ticket early or they can get tickets at the door.

Admission is free. Everyone is welcome.

For more information, call the library at 472-6551 or visit the front desk.
