‘Wind in the Willows’ opens tonight

Jul 11, 2013

Fairfield’s own award-winning Two Roads Educational Arts and Theatre presents its final summer production, “Wind in the Willows,” today through Sunday at the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts.

Based off the longest currently continuously published children’s novel by Kenneth Grahamme, the musical centers around the adventures of the impulsive Toad who ventures to the “Wide World” of humans only to be thrown in jail and later kidnapped by a thief while his friends Mole, Rat and Badger seek to find him and mount a daring rescue.

Full of comedy, action, catchy musical numbers, and performed by the nationally accomplished actors of T.R.E.A.T. under the direction of Katy Shepherd, “Wind in the Willows” is for audiences of all ages.

Tickets are $12 and $18. A $2 discount is available with a donation of canned goods to The Lord’s Cupboard at the 7 p.m. Friday show.

Tickets are on sale at Fairfield Arts & Convention Center’s website www.fairfieldacc.com.
