Woman injured after blacking out on motorcycle

By Andy Hallman, Ledger news editor | Jun 21, 2018

A woman was taken to the hospital June 12 after nearly falling completely off the back of a motorcycle.

Lori Jean Geary, 52, of Libertyville, was treated for wounds she sustained while riding on a motorcycle driven by David Samuel Huff, 63, of Libertyville. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:30 p.m. that day near 1900 Libertyville Road, Geary blacked out while riding on the back of the motorcycle.

Geary’s left arm and shoulder hit the pavement, but Huff was able to keep her from falling completely off the motorcycle before bringing it to a stop.

Geary was taken by a third-party to the Jefferson County Health Center. Her injuries were believed to be minor.
