Your guide to Tuesday’s municipal elections

Election Day for the municipal races in the county is Tuesday.

Polls in Fairfield will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Polls in all other towns will be open from noon to 8 p.m.

Monday is the last day to vote by absentee ballot. The ballot must be postmarked no later than that day, and must be received by the auditor’s office no later than Thursday. All other towns have until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, and those ballots must be received no later than Nov. 13.

Fairfield 3rd Ward: Nazarene Family Center

Fairfield 4th Ward: Courthouse Lobby

Fairfield 5th Ward: Pence Elementary School

Batavia: Batavia Community Center

Libertyville: Libertyville Community Center

Lockridge: Lockridge Community Building

Maharishi Vedic City: Rukmapura Park Hotel

Packwood: Packwood Fire Station

Pleasant Plain: Pleasant Plain Community Building


Here is a list of the seats available and the candidates running for them. Note that Batavia is the only town in the county with contested races. An (I) indicates the candidate is an incumbent. All council seats are at-large except in Fairfield, where there are seven councilors representing five wards and two at-large seats.
